This week we will try a Florida wine from our recent trip. The wine is produced by a family owned vineyard, Rosa Fiorelli Winery. (Www.fiorelliwinery.com). This also happens to be the winery Maria worked for before moving out to California.
This week we are trying out our new wine and cheese list from BevMo (www.bevmo.com). It should be interesting since Merlot and Swiss cheese are both very common to most people.
Saturday afternoon I headed over to the “Uncorked” event (https://ghirardellisquareuncorked.eventbrite.com/) to learn more California wines, rub some elbows and taste some local wine.
We are fast approaching the end of the wine and cheese pairings on our original list. Luckily we found another list this week to continue on with.
This week we switched away from California wines to try out a chianti. Neither of us have ever tried this type of wine so we were pretty excited.
For this weeks pairing, we decided to increase our wine budget to see if we could notice any differences in the wine.
We consulted our handy list this week to find another white wine and found that it mainly has reds. No wonder we haven’t done much with white wine.
This week we deviated from our guide a bit. We had a bottle of Zinfandel that we had purchased to have with dinner during the week so we looked online to see what cheeses would compliment it.
Things went a little late at work on Friday and we spent the weekend painting so we celebrated our wine and cheese day on Sunday this week.
After a long week with apartment hunting and tax prep, we were ready for some wine and cheese!
