Wine tastings near my part of town in San Francisco, CA
These places are wine bars, wineries, and tasting rooms, but they all offer wine tastings. I found quite a few of them while riding the bus in my neighborhood.

Frog’s Leap Winery
We spent a relaxing Sunday with Jess and Corey at Frog’s Leap Vineyard, http://www.frogsleap.com/html/intro.html. This winery takes a more calm and casual approach to wine tasting. Instead of having a tasting room with a bar, they have a back porch overlooking the vineyard. It was so peaceful sitting at the table and just hanging out! Jess and Corey are Frog Fellows ( wine club members) there so they brought us to check it out. Thanks guys!
Cheese Tasting at Cheese Plus
We heard about a public cheese tasting and couldn’t wait to attend. The event took place at Cheese Plus, an upscale specialty store, who has cheese plus. (http://cheeseplus.com/) The tasting event featured cheese producers who were all in town for the Fancy Food Show.
Italian Wine Tasting at the Wine Club
This week we hit the road to taste some Italian wines. We had been to the Wine Club back in July so we figured we’d head over there again. (http://mferraro73.tumblr.com/post/55191187751/trip-to-the-wine-club-7-5-we-decided-to-go-to) The tasting room section of the store is pretty small but the staff is always very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable!

Cabernet Sauvignon and 1000 Day Gouda
We purchased this wine from White Oak Winery (http://www.whiteoakwinery.com/) when we visited Alexander Valley a little while back. (https://wineandcheesefriday.com/sonoma-trip-with-geoff-and-sabrina/). During the wine tasting, we both enjoyed the wine and found it to be easier to drink than other Cabernets we’ve tried in the past.
